Len

In addition to his role as the director of the St. George Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Len Erickson is an adjunct professor of business and entrepreneurship at Dixie State University.

Erickson brings a broad range of professional experience to both his clients and his students, offering the real world knowledge and expertise that is necessary for today’s competitive business market.
Erickson has held a number of positions for Andrus Transportation Services including; chief financial officer, vice president and board member. During his tenure with Andrus Transportation Services, Erickson also directed all financial and administrative activities for the company – producing 52 million dollars in sales and oversight of 450 employees.

As executive vice president and chief financial officer for Great Dane Inc., Erickson director over 50 employees and produced an annual sales of $55 million.  Erickson has also served as vice president of finance and vice president of Marketing for Colorado Silica Sand, where he gained significant international business experience working with Russia, England and countries in the Middle East.  Erickson has also worked in various management, finance and accounting departments for two Fortune 500 companies (CF&I Corporation and Great Western United).

Erickson has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics and Accounting, and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Utah.

  • Manage financial and administrative programs for multinational manufacturer and marketer of silica sand used extensively in water filtration, oil, gas and environmental clean-up.

  • Responsible for all financial and tax reporting, budgeting, cost control, contract analysis and negotiation and management reporting to the President and Board of Directors.
